Holderness Gazette 9th October
CLUB NOTES
Dave Mackay-Dundas returns this weekend with the First Team now embarking on a two-week break from HPL action. On Saturday they go to Pocklington Town in the ERCFA Senior Cup with recent results suggesting that a repeat of August’s 7-0 win for the Eastenders is highly unlikely. On the squad front, Mack is again without Milner and both Barnett and Metcalf are missing from last week’s squad. In addition Jeffery and Mee are rated doubtful through injury.
In the County League, the Reserves saw their scheduled game against Goole Goods Offices postponed following the mix-up over venues. This Saturday the Stiffs entertain Holme Rovers at Low Farm. As for the Casuals they play host to York League side Wheldrake in the ERCFA Junior Country Cup.
Please note there is a fixture change involving the Reserves on Saturday week (18th). Craig Smalley’s team now entertain VIP Communications, not Wawne Ferry as first published.
Thanks to Kam Cheng for his kind sponsorship package, which included Saturday’s match and thanks also to everyone who supported the Coffee Morning; £127.30 was raised towards Club funds..
Horses are still available for The Eastenders’ latest “Race Night”, being held in The Granby Inn on Saturday, 18th October. Our thanks go to BMTec, BIS Salamis, JL Clarke, Pro-Truck (Hull) Ltd, Harrison-Solway Logistics, Red Hot Vending and Tony Styche for their kind race sponsorship pledges.
