The Committee held its monthly meeting last night with new member Burt Graham officially welcomed "on board". The other new addition to the Committee - "Biff" McNaught - was unable to attend due to work commitments.
Apologies were also received from Brian Biglin and Rosie Clubley.
In "Matters Arising" from the previous meeting, the recent trip to the England U21s game at the KC, which was used as an opportunity to thank some of the youngsters and helpers at the Club was regarded a successful evening. Danny Campbell's thanks to those parents who'd given him a gift as a gesture of their appreciation of his services over the past 18 months were also recorded.
The recent "incidents" at the ground were discussed with amendments currently being made to the toilets, while the recent alleged break-in is in the hands of the Police.
The Officers Reports were presented with little of note to come out of them, save from some welcome financial news via the Treasurer, thanks mainly to some excellent sponsorship deals currently being put in place.
In the Secretary's report, the Club have decided to apply for Christmas Draw tickets again from the County League as per recent correspondence from League Sec Roger Smith.
Squad size, current form, training, discipline and commercial/development activities were all discussed as part of the General Manager's Report. Particularly pleasing is the number of sponsors wishing to continue their association with the Club, which hopefully shows how much they feel we value their support.
Under "Sub-Cttee & Other Committee Notes"the recent Easington Rec & Sports Association Fun Day was briefly discussed as well as the forthcoming "Reg Fest", both of which should yield welcome income for both the ERSA and Football Club.
Under "Any Other Business" the "Raggy" Game - originally scheduled for this Sunday (31st Aug) was discussed as there may now be a problem with that date.
The Race Night, originally pencilled in for 25th Oct is to be moved to 18th Oct due to a "Harvest Festival" taking place the same night. also discussed was the composition of the Sub-Cttee to arrange the next Sporting Dinner.
Finally the August Draw of the 100 Club was made, wqith the following winners:
£25, No.20 - Christine Ward
£15, No.117 - George Moore
£10, No.130 - Katie Lusmore
£5, No.14 - Anthony Barnett
£5, No.26 - Kyle Fellows
The meeting was closed at 9.50pm
Next Meeting 16th Sep (to finalise Race Night)
Next Monthly Meeting 30th Sep
