WITH little more than local pride to play for, Easington United boss Dave Mackay-Dundas will hope his players can improve on their last ‘Holderness Derby’ performance when Withernsea visit Low Farm this Saturday.
The game is the first of three all-Holderness affairs with which the Eastenders round off their Humber Premier League campaign; Hornsea Town visit Low Farm a week later with the return game at Withernsea concluding matters on 14 April.
Mackay-Dundas will want a drastic improvement on the performance at Low Farm three weeks ago when his side slumped to defeat against Hedon Rangers. His side put in a much better showing at the weekend, drawing 1-1 at Barton Town Old Boys Reserves.
In an entertaining game at Marsh Lane, Mike Nicholson gave Easington a first half lead which may well have been extended by the time the South Bank side levelled matters on 65mins. Both teams then passed up chances to win the game, leaving the Easington manager more than pleased with the way his players had responded to the criticism received following the Hedon defeat.
Striker Rob Kamis is the only major injury worry ahead of the Withernsea game, with defender John Batch set to play his final game before starting a two-week suspension.
In the County League Premier Division the Eastenders Reserves travel to leaders Old George hoping to repeat their league cup win of a fortnight ago over the previously unbeaten Goole outfit. On Saturday the Reserves came from 1-4 down to snatch a point at home to Skidby Millers.
In Division 4, the Casuals also face the leaders when they entertain Skirlaugh at Humbleton.

After a blank weekend, the Casuals are set to return to action on Saturday when they also face the divisional leaders; Skirlaugh their opponents at Humbleton. Manager Clubley will hope to have Purse back from Reserve team duty, while Adam Swaby, Matty Findley, Mike Hooley and Steve Ward could all come into contention.
