Holderness Gazette 10th August
CLUB NOTES
•The Eastenders senior squad were set to complete their pre-season preparations last night at HPL newcomers Long Riston. This Saturday, all players are reminded there is a full-scale practice match/training session taking place at Low Farm (2pm) followed by a “team-building” session around our local pubs i.e. the hostelries of Hull. Check with the respective managers for details.
•The Club would like to thank everybody who took part in the “3 Lions FC” course held at Low Farm last week. It proved a very enjoyable event, not spoilt by the weather, which decided to turn for the worse during the course of things. However, the Club would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to parents on the Wednesday afternoon when messages went out suggesting the event would have to be abandoned. Our apologies also go to any spectators turning up at Low Farm for the scheduled fixture against the ERCFA Juniors on Wednesday night (2 August). This game was cancelled at short notice by the visitors in highly unsatisfactory circumstances that were totally out of the Club’s control.
•Further to last week’s notices, the Reserves’ scheduled game against Roos may be subject to a change of date following rearrangement of the Club’s AGM, which is now provisionally set to take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 23 August in the Community Hall – not the Youth Club as stated last time.
•Finally, thanks again to Bonus Electrical for their sponsorship of the Club’s pre-season schedule: “From the KC Stadium to Low Farm supporting local football at all levels”
